About Team 2 - Education

Team Education Walkers: Viki Deardorff, Mary DeSimone


Team Education is a team of PEER Servants volunteers and friends who want to enable materially poor young people from around the world to access education opportunities that can not only transform their own lives but that of their families and communities as well. PEER Servants has education partners in Guatemala, India, Peru, the Philippines, South Sudan, and Sri Lanka. We also support university scholarship programs in Africa. Collectively, these programs are serving hundreds of young people as they pursue their dreams that only a good education can bring.

We would like to raise $10,000+ through PEER Servants' 2023 Walk for Global Empowerment to support these hardworking students and their education pursuits. If we are able to reach the $10,000 goal, a generous donor will provide a $5,000 match, bringing our total to $15,000+. In addition, for each additional $10,000 that we raise, the match will grow by $5,000. The overall walk goal is $200,000. 100% of what you give will go through PEER Servants to PEER Servants' education partners. PEER Servants will send you a tax receipt.

If you prefer to give by check, please make it out to PEER Servants and give it to the walker you are supporting or send it to PEER Servants, PO Box 258, Woburn, MA 01801 and note the name of the walker you are supporting. If your employer offers a matching gift program, please submit your donation to stretch the impact your generosity is having.
