About this Cause

PEER Servants' annual Walk for Economic Empowerment has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars since the first Walk in 2006 and every penny has gone to empowering the materially poor through our microfinance, education, and youth empowerment partner programs. Our 2019 Walk around Lake Quannapowitt in Wakefield, MA is on Saturday, June 1. We are hoping to do something we have never done before - raise $100,000 through the Walk! Would you like to join us? There are many teams of walkers (scroll down to see them). If you would like to support a person or a team, click on that team's Donate button. If you would like to walk and crowdfund with a team, please take three easy steps... 1) Choose your team. Select the PEER Servants partner organization or program you'd like to support from those listed below. (Note - ignore the "1 Team Member" reference - most teams have many team members!) 100% of what you raise will go to that organization or program. If you'd like it to go to where needed most, choose "Team Global". 2) Register for the team and select your personal crowdfunding commitment level using the registration link on the team crowdfunding page. 3) Send that team webpage link to your friends and family and encourage them to support you with a generous donation towards your crowdfunding goal. A group of generous donors will provide a $5,000 match to any team that reaches its $10,000 goal! Thanks for your role in allowing our 2019 Walk to have more impact than ever in empowering the materially poor!
